Why don’t add crossplay between pc and xbox player i can play vs other xbox player even in ranked match using mouse and keyboard vs controller player.
So i don’t know the point in not adding the crossplay option AOE 2 has it.

Please, add crossplay to AOE 4, it sucks to play AOE 2 in 2023 or could you upgrade graphism to AOE 2 ?
I am dying to play this with my friend that has it on Xbox. I have it on PC. It is very disappointing this didn’t come with the Xbox version at release but I hope they add it soon.

I would also appreciate to support cross play between XBOX and PC players. At least for custom games, to play against AI or FFAs or just 1v1. In my opinion cross play is not needed on the Ranked ladder. But on Custom games and maybe in Quickplay, Crossplay would be nice.
Maybe with an option in the settings, so both devices need to activate cross play.
So far, good job with the XBOX version, like it a lot as PC player

That’s not true at all. I play mouse in keyboard on the Xbox series. X and people play with me all the time on controller and I still lose. Sometimes they get auto villager so they don’t have to worry about queueing and they got auto management of their eco. So how is that not balancing?

I just bought this game and didn’t realize I can’t play with my husband (he is on Xbox and I’m on PC) hopefully soon they will add cross-play

We need to be able to play with our friends. This will help create a momemtum and a solid community.

Definitely this would benefit the game.
The larger the player-pool, the more healthier and strong the community becomes and the better the competitive system works.
Also, the larger the playernumbers are, the more likely people are to leave the game and the better the chances are for new players to be attracted.
Also means a larger audience for streams, which again works as an advertisement for the game.
They should really make crossplay a thing.
Also for ranked.

Would love to see cross play implemented. I do play it with my friend and son on pc but love the xbox version. Also for me the console convenience was the main reason to buy the xbox. Great game please add cross play!

Any news on crossplay? The launch of age 4 on Xbox generated great expectations followed by great frustration.
Unfortunately, it is not yet possible to bring friends together.
Age 4 is an amazing game. We will continue to support, play and purchase future expansions

Me on my xbox, and my wife on Steam. bought this game to co-op and play against AI. Wasted money. This game is now sitting in our libraries.

Guys, doesn’t make sense to port the game to xbox and not enabling the crossplay between platforms. I can bet that 90% or more of the player base is on PC. On xbox are the low budget gamers. Please help us. I want to play with my friends.
