FYI, I noticed in the C:\Users\USERNAME\Games\Age of Empires 2 DE\LONGNUMBERHERE\savegame folder a bunch of Replay files, some dating back more than a year. I deleted all but the past month and freed up over 15GB of space on my primary drive.
Can confirm that XBox Return of Rome Campaigns - Sargon of Akkad - Part 5 - Subartu is still not fixed. I did the campaign, got all Ruin areas, and defeated Subartu. It display 8/0 Runes captured in white but not in green which indicates completion. 5/5 Sumerian villages liberated is green and marked out. Nothing else to do but just quit campaign.
I even changed Diplomacy with the Summerian Allies and Sumerian Villages, then destored all villages and buildings. The Rune display did not turn green.
My gut tells me that the 8/0 should be 8/8, therefore itās not fulfilling the goal. As an application developer, my mind makes me think that the game developers might have created a subtraction to see if a player gets to zero (0), by taking the number of ruins held from the total number of ruins but since the total number of ruins is zero (0), it never is able to get to zero overall or if itās a comparison of ruins held to total ruins.
Hopefully, the game developers will be able to fix this as you canāt complete the achievement.
@IvanHCastro Is there any update on this bug? Iām still unable to complete this campaign because of it.
@IvanHCastro - Had a read through the latest patch notes to be released in April and I see absolutely no reference to fixing this issue with the ROR campaigns:
Can you please advise what the status is? Are we ever going to have working campaigns for Return of Rome???
I donāt think thereās much more to be said on this one - Theyāre aware itās an issue, I imagine theyāre working on it, and I donāt think a minor edge case bug like this would be in a post like that. We can hope they fix it on the next patch and thatāll be that! No point spamming them.
Yea I stated somewhere else that I had the same issue. It seems to just be the Microsoft store version (of course the version I have lol). The devs are aware of this so hopefully they fix it soon.
Thanks for bringing this up again @aoe2fan125182!
Not sure how you define an edge case bug considering that the majority got the Return of Rome campaign missions are affected by a script error on the Microsoft store version (that is not an edge case). Itās also been ongoing for at least half a year now (longer in some other posts) and seems no where closer to a resolution. At least some kind of update here would be nice or a refund of the DLC paid for.
The only lesson learned here is: never buy a game from the Microsoft Store again, even if the game itself is from Microsoft.
