Rework for British Civilization

I made some modifications to the post based on the comments of some members. My intention is to make the reworking of the British civilization as accurate as possible, focusing mainly on the mechanics of the mansions and the evolution of the longbowmen, whom I renamed Yeoman, since the latter make more sense in the course of the game.

Their ideas are generally very good. I always wish that the British also had a more unique 4 and 5 age, standing out in the industry more than average, similar to the United States.

Historical accuracy is the least important thing in this particular case. I prefer that each player has the freedom to choose whether they want to represent a modernized civilization or a more “classical” one. Players need freedom of choice, and limiting it always results in overly boring games.

In my opinion, Age of Empires III is the best game in the franchise because of the freedom the cards offer and because it allows you to play and customize each civilization to your liking (although I think it has room for improvement).

Are you saying that transitioning from archaic to modern goes against the game’s philosophy? Actually, it’s ideal, and much better because each era is more uniquely represented.

Above all, a civilization that covers the entire period the game recreates shouldn’t be limited to using medieval units during the industrial era. There’s a better sense of progression when more advanced units make older ones obsolete.

Archaic units are fine for civilizations that don’t have other options.

No, I’m saying that every player should have the option to play with the unit they like best, and if they want to play longbowmen up to Imperial rank, that’s just as acceptable as those who want to play Ragers.

Simply put, if you don’t like playing longbowmen in Industrial or Imperial rank, that’s perfectly fine, but let those who do want to use them have the option to do so.

In my opinion, abandoning archaic weapons for firearms better reflects the arms race. It makes much more sense.

Clearly we’re not going to agree; we have different approaches to what’s most important. Can we agree that we disagree?

If you wanna a stronger bonus, maybe they could get “you get X thing per Y houses you own”

Copying Chinese Village cards tho.

Im disaggree on buffing euros tho
