RIP AOE3

Amazing game, had a lot of fun, but the post not only mentions that the dlc isn’t coming + also is completely noncommittal on any forthcoming balance changes.

Sad end to such a beautiful and interesting rts

Now you should boycott their new products - especially DLCs for boring AoE 2!!!

Is this game doing so poorly commercially compared to others that they can’t even confirm upcoming balance/bug/performance patches? Saddest moment in aoeIII DE since release.

This company does not deserve to have 7k active players, disgusting

Yes, it’s all strange… although deep down I saw it coming, there was no info about the DLC and this was the final blow for AoE 3… I’m depressed and distressed, I’m crying inside… AoE 3 was my first RTS and seeing it die again is devastating…

They could have done this a year ago, but no, they had to give us false promises to finally betray after waiting for a year.

I’ve never seen a company backstab their fanbase like this, its goddamn disgusting

A diamond in the hand of a child is nothing more than a pretty rock

There was so much room to improve, jet they purposely choose to let it rot

RIP AOE3

It’s intentional.
Let me say it again.
It’s intentional.

It’s not betrayal. It’s humiliation. Someone who wrote long essays saying they are sorry is now rolling on the floor laughing.

Do you see they ever announce any bad news for the other games? Including the de facto abandoned AOE1DE?

We’ll miss AoE3 but it’s clear the devs don’t.

Who died and put AussieChudro in charge?

YES. WE ALL MUST BOYCOTT

“…Adding more civs to [Age 3] is just another way to show that we really do still care about the game and want to keep pushing and adding content to it that players can jump in and really experience.”

Imagine some actual person wrote this.

Aussie Chudro?
What do you mean?

This is the 20th anniversary of the game. It is my first and favorite AoE. It is such a shame. I can’t think of another company who decided to put the game on life support on such an important anniversary.

I almost forgot it is the 20th anniversary.

Anyone still thinks this is not intentional?

Obviously all of these was intentional.
Was their plan from the very Beginning
Just see the clues from Interviews

Imagine if the next AOE V would be a III remake?
I would die for it!

It would be AoE2-3, with no manned artillery, drop of buildings and wood based economies :unamused:

This is the end of AOE3 DE!!! They have officially said goodbye to new content!

AoE4 is Medieval, AoMR is ancient, so the chances that AoE5 is early modern is not that low.
But therefor they would find a developer first. Forgotten Empires never made a game from scratch themselves yet.
