An error message always appears when I try to play Return of Rome custom campaigns or skirmishes. The AI then sits idle for the duration of the match,

:point_down: How often does the issue occur? CHOSE ONE; DELETE THE REST!

  • 100% of the time / matches I play (ALWAYS)

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Start Return of Rome
  2. Try to play a skirmish match with AI selected. Or try some custom campaigns.
  3. Watch in frustration as an error message pops up.

No error and correct AI behavior.

Hi Twiglet2018

We are not able to repro this issue on our end. We have tried skirmish and custom campaigns in different AI difficulties and it´s working. Could you try reinstalling the game and let us know if the issue persists?

If it does, could you send us more information about the matches you are having the issue? For example, the difficulty of the AI, type of map, etc.

Hi! I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and the issue persists. The normal official campaigns load without any trouble. When I try a skirmish or custom scenario or even try to make a scenario in the editor and test it, thats when the “Ai Script Error” pops up.

Its okay! I kinda solved the problem. Disabled all Mods and everything works fine now… must of been one of those pesky mods that interfered with the AI.

Hello! It´s great to know that you found the source of the issue. It might be worth it to know which mod was causing this issue. It might help the community in the future.

However, happy to see you can come back to play normally the game.
