[RoR] Gaia object Discovery with wrong graphics, units become invisible

The Discovery is a Gaia object from Age of Empires which was ported to Return of Rome. However, since RoR’s release, it neither has the correct sprite nor does it work as expected. Instead, it uses the Rugs graphics and makes units become invisible.

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Open the Scenario Editor, go to Units, switch the Player to Gaia. Place the unit named Discovery. It has the appearance of the Rugs eye candy.
  2. Place a hero unit with hero glow for Player 1 near the Discovery, e.g. Caesar.
  3. Test the scenario and move the hero to different positions next to the Discovery. At certain positions, the hero will become invisible, with only the glow remaining (nonthing would remain of a non-hero unit). When it leaves the spot, it becomes visible again.

:backhand_index_pointing_down: What was SUPPOSED to happen if the bug you encountered were not present?
The Discovery should have its sprite from AoE DE instead of using a completely unrelated one.

I don’t think having the Discovery’s original behaviour (flag popping up when a unit “captures” it) is necessary for RoR, there are now triggers if someone wants to do that. It could be turned into a pure eye candy object instead. Maybe even with a variant (rotation) based on the unused Discovery sprite from AoE (see below).

In Return of Rome, it looks like the Rugs eye candy instead.

At this position, the hero is still visible…

…but here, the unit becomes invisible, save for its glow. It becomes visible again by moving away.

If the object is fixed, it would be a chance to officially implement this unused design from the original AoE for the first time, as a variant (rotation).
