Even ignoring the Yo or NachoAOE accidents and outcomes, the stance that streaming without delay is allowed on all days but then somehow changes for the last 2 sends a really nasty implicit message.
If there is concern that people will cheat, it should matter for all days, not just the last 2.
Historically, AOE2 tournament organizers have been lax with rules. They arguably were this time with the penalty, but this lackadaisical approach to enforcement is undoubtedly what caused the issue in the first place. It’s also why the actual cheating scandal that happened this year went on for as long as it did before T90 figured it out himself.
Anyway, I don’t want to be purely negative here: most of the qualifier for RBW was fun and well done, but maybe there is no need to have rules that change based on time of day. This isn’t a school crossing, we don’t need a 30mph/50kph sign out at 7-9am.
