So I was right with this.
Small Waterfalls, the river variant one you know, with fast-water, with crossable variant so we can do sone Canoe rafting races in rivers.
Ladders.
More barricade assets, and mantlet style things for archer to hide behind and protect from castle arrows, absorbing arrows.
More regional tent / pavillon variants.
Drawbridge (maybe I’ve already suggested that someday)
Bonfire.
All ship type shipwrecks.
Culverin.(breach loaded medieval era artillery)
Metal Mines, iron, copper, tin, silver, etc.
If they are not going to reskin the regular units any time soon, at least they could’ve added some more “regional” units like Eastern swordsman to be used in scenarios.
We have this already right?
New dlc seems to add one.
Would be pretty useless as you cant scale or fight on top of walls.
Aoe2 units dont have loading animations as its infinite.
Big bonfire, like the one in Lord of the Ring to call for help.
This idea is tied to Swiss history, as we had a fire-signal system to inform allies of ennemy approach.
Yap viking warcamp tents, they look pretty cool !
Eye candy, like weapon racks, not functional mechanics.
It was more to explain why the culverin is legit, because it was different from the muzzle-loaded bombards.
Yeah, it doesn’t even have to be ladders for military use, like a ladder leaning against a farmer’s house or lying around there.
There are benches, I’d also like to see chairs and tables (empty and with food on them).

Yes, in AoE 3 you have the Signal Fire to call Alain Magnan and reinforcements in Breakout… and in AoE 4 the English can create campfires but they only serve as line-of-sight points for nearby units (and also to slightly increase the villagers’ resource gathering)…

I was more thinking of that => https://youtu.be/agBtXRChsJM?t=94
Yes, sure, something like that…
Cool, I had hoped for walruses, but not even thought of lynxes before. I wonder whether the latter will be a predator or a “fox”.
likely a new fox. Walruses are so fat and cute
Desert, Snow, and sea tiles that slowly damage all units and buildings placed on them.
Reindeer War Chariots, Reindeer Archers, Reindeer Clubmen. ![]()
(from Carta marina, 1539)
But plain Reindeer would already be nice. Maybe there is still a TVS animal left that hasn’t been revealed yet…
How badass is that, guys riding reindeer like horses into battle.
No clue if this was suggested before, but I’d love to see more variants of the Crusader Knight as Templar (white and red), Hospitaller (black and white) and Saint Lazarus(white and green) besides the Teutonic version that we have.
Also once again asking for a generic genitour version for the scenario editor after the addition of the mounted crossbowman.
Reindeer War Chariots, Reindeer Archers, Reindeer Clubmen.
I would love to see the historical accuracy people lose their minds over a Finns civ with Reindeer War Chariot as a unique unit and the Sampo for their wonder.
generic genitour version
You mean a european variant?
Hey, it might be not entirely made-up!
This would be an actual unique unit.
These are actually northern Mongols btw, the forum displays only the image but if you click it links to the photo’s description on Flickr
