Hey guys, i still have problems.
Today i started 5 games (all 1v1 ranked games). Result:
-
2 games i was able to play (and to win in middle castle age),
-
in 1 game it crashed in the middle of dark age (i found myself on the windowsdesktop) and
-
in 2 games i had the freeze, i am speaking about in this whole thread (one after 1 sec game time, the other after a couple of minutes in dark age). Thats very, very frustrating.
In the patch notes of patch 51737 we were told that there is a new logfile. Its a mdmp-data. I wish i could add this here, but the few mdmp-data i found in my log-folder have other dates (no one from today).
However i just try to upload here every data from the log files which has the date from today (and the newest mdmp-data with a date from 6 days ago) - hopfully the Devs can use it to fix the bugs.
Or is there any better way to report that?

I have this same problem. The new patch ruined my performance, freezes for a few seconds every minute, and often crashes to desktop.

I do experience this too on Steam with Windows 10. Luckily just freezes but still. Kinda annoying:

Hey guys, thats annoying. But again, my “freeze-problem” is different - its a permanent freeze. The game is over, if the freeze occurs.The freeze doesn’t end.
However, i’d like if they put even more energy in fixing these issues instead of making balance changes, DLCs etc. The last things are much less importaint to me.

@Benjy536 Occasionally the freeze leads to a crash to desktop, with no report.
It never happened before a recent update.
Is your problem still occuring due to November 2020 patch or the most recent one?
It is since Nov 2020, yes. In some patch-periodes it seems to be better (under 5% of the matches) sometimes to be worse (over 15%). Maybe it is just a statistical error tolerance, i dont know.
It is not a direct crash to desktop, it is a freeze i can just end, if i close the game after a window popup.

many thanks for your reply. Its great to have some feedback. I will post other reports as well here, if i can connect it with the issue. The proposed Enhanced Logging Build just works with steam - i have the x-box version of the game, so unfortunately i cant use it. But thanks as well.
And here are the first new log-files. I played a 1v1 ranked on Acropolis when in mid castle my game crashed (one second everything was fine, the next second i saw my windows desktop and the game was closed). So it is another issue as the one i describe in this thread, but of course not less annoying. Hope my upload helps to fix that

And well @ChristheCo, here is a bug i am talking about. Freeze after 1:31 game time, in the second game of the evening. As the mdmp-data is from midday i just add the slowlog from this evening and a screenshot.

It happened also in the current patch/build. Today, two times in a row. “Fortunately” only once during a running game, the other time after a game while I was chatting with my opponent after the GG.
In my log folders is unfortunately again no MDMP file from today. I’m uploading here all the other logs I can find from today, but somehow I’m afraid that for the games that freeze no log file is created.
Hope anyway you get that out soon and can patch that.

Hey @ChristheCo I still have the problem. Usually not very often, a little below 10% but still…
But today I played 5 games - in 3 of them I had the freezing (all early dark age). Super annoying.
One more hint: For the last game I disabled v-sync and tried the new fps-limiter (15-120). The game froze immediately. I don’t know if that’s an indicator of what it might be.
After i wrote this, i started a single game (skirmish) to reproduce it, but i had no immediately feezing. So maybe it just coincidence.
Attached again are the log files I have from today. Again no MDMP file, the latest one is from January…

Hey @ChristheCo and @IkoKnight8151 - i think you guys fixed it!!!
After the patch of 27 April 2022 (India DLC) I no longer had the problem in almost 60 games. This should no longer be a statistical error tolerance.
