I’m having a problem with Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition and I’m hoping someone can help.
Sometimes, while playing, the screen suddenly turns completely black. I can still hear the villagers working and the game audio continues normally. I can even press Enter and type in chat, so the game doesn’t seem to fully crash — but I can’t see anything or keep playing.
Other times, instead of going black, the screen just freezes on a single image while the game continues running in the background.
This issue only happens with Age of Empires II. My PC runs other games without any problems, so I don’t think it’s a hardware issue.
I’ve already tried adjusting NVIDIA settings and I’m currently updating my drivers, but the problem still happens occasionally.
Has anyone experienced something similar or knows how to fix it?
