Screen shifted ingame, single player

Steam, Windows 10 pro
Version 101.101.33164.0 4413571

I was playing Babarossa campaign and restarted. Then the interface was shifted: the health bars of the vils were on the other side of the screen, everything was shifted. Also when I drag a box around my units.

I did a video with my phone, apparently I cannot upload .MOV data.

I restared AOE2 DE and tested another campaign, same problem.
I rebooted the PC, now its fine again.

edit: rebooting the pc doesn’t seem to work always.
any ideas how to fix this? I don’t want to install the game again…

Are you having this issue? Caused by having selected in game options lower resolution than monitor resolution.

Health bars and selection rectangle don't scale with resolution
