I second that. The lack of in game notification is frustrating.
I am also disappointed you removed the ability to play without your servers. There is absolutely no reason I cannot play with friends right now.
However I appreciate the efforts you put in updating this game. Thank you.

The globe is round, you know that right? There are people playing from Europe, America, Asia, … That pretty much already covers the timezones not to mention people play at different times. Which time would you pick to please everyone? I am sure devs have got their statistics on server utilization and act accordingly.
Everyone can see the number of only players at steam. There is a clear pattern. Around the time of the maintainance it is always peak hour.
Well, you made a very good point. I just checked that myself and … oh boy! How comes the patching happens at this very time? Looks like the timing could not be any worse.
