I hope this is fixed soon. This seems to me like someone forgot to update expiring SSL certificates. That is pretty much a shame.
Yeah, I tweeted @ageOfEmpires 15 mins ago telling them.
Expired certificates is a pretty poor cause for a service to go down.

Not really a fix, might work for a short amount of time, doubt it’s worth it as most other players won’t do the same.
Looks like the requests are going to 52.186.164.33 (https://cert.microsoft.com).
