Many walls have oddly placed shadows of flags. I don’t think those shadows are required.

What is the point of the flags even?
Clear visual indication of player color, particularly on diagonal walls.

The shadows are literally on the ground behind the wall, they’re just below the actual flag. The points you’ve put arrows towards aren’t the flag shadows.
That’s a good question. Player colour could have been ensured by more player colour over the walls too.
By arrow mark I have indicated that the shadow should fall behind the wall and hence should not even be visible.
