First, I believe in Christ so I would like to honor that but come on, when there is history of a literal nation walking across a sea. Two, I would take inspiration from the concept of Duke of Dork.(but I hate why he wanted it.)
Now onto The idea.
So I think that archangels should be the major gods.
prophets as the minor gods.
Give them 2!!! god powers each guy but one god power is locked onto a hero like Passover and the parting of the red sea to Moses, but it gives the enemy an extra god power(golden calf maybe?)
Their armies are pretty basic with 3 units that are levies (weak units that Heros hire as villagers that last 5 minutes) and 3 units unlocked in their fortress(which I don’t now what to call)
And lastly what would I use to develop this on(Figma or Adobe, I don’t want to spend to much money)

There is a lot of Canaanite, Judean, Phoenician mythology to build a civ.
Prophets would make terrible minor gods. except for Enoch or Elijah, as they were both taken up into heaven.
I doubt we would see an Isrealite faction in age of mythology. Since it would be very problematic. We probably won’t see factions for any of the major world religions.
I fully disagree with this idea as there are so many pantheons that are way more fun to bring into the game.

Prophets would be better than angels because I think the hero system is they get the prophet they worshiped as a judge.
Unless Its king David, who would make your villager military units trainable and permanently a soldier.
There is a whole pantheon of levantine gods to draw from no need to use prophets or angels. King Josiah was probably the first somewhat monotheistic king. So I can Imagine Solomon’s temple as a unique building for Yahweh. monotheism can be researched giving new god powers, techs, myth units. and disabling all the minor gods effects. and instead give Yahweh unique bonuses when aging up. If it is researched before the last age.
The other two major gods could be Elyon, and Asherah.
I can see this culture generating favor through animal and human sacrifice. and having a unique building that allows them to train herd animals for food/favor.
Scouting with a prophet that has an ability that reveals a selected part of the map, and another ability to sacrifice herd animals, anoint one human unit at a time to make them a very powerful hero king.
this is for the one faction with one god in 3 Isreal. And the child sacrifice is to close to the aztecs.

The ancient Israelites quickly became syncretic, so you could have multiple Canaanite gods be present in the pantheon, to reference their idolatry.
