They should have made peacock feather open animation.

I made this for a mod.

Reminds me of that frilled dinosaur thing in Jurassic Park right before it attacked Nedry.
One word to support the traditional parchment map for campaign menu. I don’t really enjoy the new one (Three Kingdoms, Chronicles) where you can only see one scenario at a time. A geography fan thing maybe.
Read the comment section of the video. Apparently he missed Capybara.
I would be very happy with a South America DLC, I hope for the Chimor and the Muisca.
And a South American architecture set is very needed.
New Architecture Sets outside of Chronicles? Thats impossible!
This guy made a video about AoE2 getting 16 player support next year. I hope he is right about both.
I think there are 3 unused player colors in the game but we would need 8 additional. Not Shure if that is feasible.
AoM has 12 players with different colours. Finding 4 more won’t be too hard. Place the existing ones on a colour grid and see which pints are farthest away from all current points.
Obviously the colours will be less distinct looking after having 16 instead of 8 but in the worst case you can always switch to team colours.
Then I can finally play pink like in AoM!
Here all possible 16777216 colours to choose from.
I will waste a lot of time in skirmish setup picking the right RGB hue for historical colors of each civilisation if this gets added.
Selecting multiple colours for different parts of the units, that would be such a cool feature.
Everyone who played Dawn of War probably know how much time you can waste picking the right colours, and that game also allowed to to pick banners and badges for your troops.
Not sure if 2 tone colours would work in AoE2. They would have to separate all unit colours into 2 for that but it could be a lot more readable then 1 tone.
Technically it wont be possible without a massive update. It will require replacing the entire graphics files of the game that is all the sld files. The game finds all of player color data for each from a single layer. For multiple colour you will need either multiple layers or a layer with RGB linked to different player colours like units in paradox interactive games.
I guess the new DLC will be a “wait for steep discount” for me again due to no new maps for SP/MP vs. AI random map skirmishes
I prefer this one for player color selection, so we can control saturation all the way down to black, too
Not sure if there is a good automated way to get that done. Maybe if the 2nd colour goes around the edge.
That’s what it seems. technically far as I can gather, not every app is a dlc, you can have some other purposes for another app, but the last 12 apps that were published were dlcs so…probably a DLC.
Also there’s an app that was created after 3k that is unpublished and hasn’t been updated since last september…if anyone need any more convincing that 3K was two DLCs unceremoniously frankensteined together, just a little more evidence for your thoughtful consideration.
I hope that this is Native America Dlc for standard period of the game. But second app? Maybe Devs test demo for new upcoming ,naval update” ? Or maybe Slavs to Rus rework and campaign for them Flc?
That second app inserting itself before Alexander is very strange.
Like, perhaps it is a fix for the 3K disaster? Very high hope.
Pretty sure it was the second half of 3k dlc, and when they combined the 3k stuff with the medieval china dlc, they no longer needed two dlc apps, ported everything to and kept working on the more mature app, and the younger is left to forever be unpublished.
the ID #s are assumedly a primary key in a DB somewhere. the next app gets the next #. so you can infer that ID’s numerically closer to each other were registered temporally closer to each other. From that you can roughly approximate 3k and the unpublished dlc were likely started far closer to each other, than either was started from alexander.
One is Naval rework? Or both are DLCs because Naval rework is just a new patch, right?
