Probably. It is kinda strange that that was the only DLC with 5 civilisations while all other ones had 2 or 3.
The 2 medieval civs were likely intended to be their own DLC originally but they were to busy with working on AoMR that they didn’t have enough time for 3 more campaigns.
But maybe it’s something completely different like a scrapped icon pack DLC or something random. Doesn’t really matter at the end of the day.
The recently updated one is certainly the Naval Update test. Maybe they need a DLC to be able to give people access to those changes.
It doesn’t really matter if the one update 13 months ago will be used for the next DLC or if they make an entirely new one, not like it would be a lot of work to create a new DLC on steam.
I don’t think the naval rework is associated with a DLC. The new app comes from a very old installment (before the 3K DLC); It’s probably a scrapped DLC that was released on the Steam database.
They don’t like communicating with us, unfortunately.
Looking over to the Paradox forum and it’s just a completely different world with multiple developer threads per week even more then a year before release of a new game where they talk in detail about game mechanics and content and then they even answer many questions that pop up in those threads.
We get maybe 1 dev post a month outside of the bug report forum.
I’d prefer Africa to South America, but it doesn’t matter. I hope nothing close to the 3K DLC. I would like something new, similar to what TLK brought with the DE, or even like TAK from the HD days.
I would like to see 1 new architecture set. We haven’t gotten one since the release of the Definitive Edition, while Chronicles got 4. At the current pase Chronicles will have more architecture sets then the base game in 2029, which happens to be the 10 year anniversary of AoE2DE.
