Nobody wanted 3K, yet we got it. If you look up any discussions of a China-focused DLC, you see requests for a fair few civs, but mostly around Jurchens, Tanguts, Khitans, Tibetans. The devs had everything written right there and didn’t go for it, for a reason we will likely never know.
Same for the Persian architecture. Requests for them to get the Central Asian set were more common than asking for a Persian rework. We know the devs can change architecture sets; Byzantines, Vietnamese, Spanish, Inca. But for some reason, again, they don’t and we don’t know why.
This isn’t too high an expectation, as people were asking for things that have been done before: Middle Ages civs, campaigns for older civs that lack them, architecture change. None of those are unreasonable. It’s lack of communication from the devs on why they do things that’s an issue.

Nobody was asking for Wu, Wei & Shu to be added. There were some requests for the Chinese campaign to be the Three Kingdoms, but not for the kingdoms themselves to be civs.

It’s a fair expectation for a game about Middle Ages cultures to expect and ask for more along those lines. Asking for Shu, Wei & Wu would be like asking for Parthians or Palmyrans.

And though I can’t look into your soul. It damn LOOKS like you are not angry because “nobody asked for 3K”. But that the DLC didn’t bring what you PERSONALLY expected from it.
That’s life. And the solution for it is to not expect too much and too specific things from others.
