When I want to choose my civ or color in a ranked game, it’s totally freeze!! And then if I quit because of this bug, I have to wait because of a penalty quitting. Just fix your bug Microsoft!!!
I have the same issue. The mods are aware; there are multiple posts in the bug reporting section about this issue.
Try changing your civ before a match is found. If you can’t do it, quit and restart the game beforehand. Then you don’t get a penalty.
Oh wait, is this what it is? My game froze once randomly and I thought I did something wrong, but apparently it’s a bug.
