That phrase appeared in the post announcing the Knights of the Mediterranean expansion on the official Facebook page: “Welcome to the latest expansion for AoE III: DE,” and so on.
How was the news received in your country regarding the return of support and content for the game? Did you speak about it?
Actually, no. I was just saying it was the last one to arrive, not the last one to be permanently completed. Why should that be interpreted as “there won’t be any more”?
Of course Chinese fans are very happy about the DLC, one of my videos about the DLC have 125000 views on Bilibili and 86000 views on tiktok
You know how to tell whether or not it’s a myth?
If it had mass appeal and made money, they’d enthusiastically and quickly make another DLC. People who invest in shares to make money like money.
The world makes a lot more sense when you think about things from a monetary perspective than “myths and vibes”.
Reminds me of the whole “there’s no way the Egyptians built the pyamids” myth. Obviously they did, the evidence is the pyramids are in Egypt.
It’s all just money.
Okay, but show me the sources.
Um, if you like, you can check out the comment I made on this topic. I was just responding based on what I saw nearly four years ago; I know it’s not the end of AoE III, but I see a lot of people here deluding themselves into thinking that, for some strange reason, the game will end with this new DLC—simply because they see the word “Last” in some posts—which makes absolutely no sense to me.

It seems the winged hussars have a massive fanbase. Understandable. Shame about the hussars sucking though in comparison to other polish cav ![]()
That makes sense, it’s for balance reasons…
They’re actually solid if you are supremely proactive about switching to and from stampede mode once the card is sent. They’re definitely behind other lancers on raw stats, of that there’s no doubt. Really figured this out towards the end of the beta.
Also the 2 pop version via the Warsaw revolt is probably the best version.
Is it because of the Retainer units? They are 1 pop and get lances via the National Cavalry HCC.
Hausa has something similar with the Raider (1 pop) and Lifidi Knight (2 pop). What’s the general consensus regarding these units and how they compare?
The issue is partially the retainer yes, seeing as one pop Cav is basically always just better than two pop or more due to a lot of reasons. Handling, formation, etc.
But it’s more the fact that even compared to other 3 pop cav the winged hussar is too expensive for the ammount of damage he does.
