There are so many Italian units it’s hard to know which to make.
So are there any units you’re finding to be more worthwhile?
In fact I think this is the advantage of having an army with a large number of options. I’m not a good player, actually I only play in lan with my brother and against AI, I usually make an army combining pavisiers and musks, with some schiavone and cavalry, and as I advance I add artillery.

I like to go cav focused with papal lancers being the star that tanks everything, they go great with lipka + shock rider, boyars, probably winged huss and saxon cuir also. Priest shipment was buffed too, I like to ship a batch during age-up because you want to save shipment for age 3 anyway.
Overall I think pavisier’s role is relegated to tank for schiavoni!
