it came to my attention some of the aoe3 DE players didn’t appreciate WE advertising aoe2 and 4 esports in the aoe3 DE boot sequence
sarcasm aside, there’s a super easy fix for this, its possible to get rid of it entirely without effecting anything ingame
go to aoe3 DE in your steam library, browse local files, go into folder named Game and within that folder open folder called Movies, and either move AOE_WorldsEdge.bk2 file somewhere else like your desktop (did so as just in case) or just outright delete it
it’ll never play WE’s propaganda again

I was using that method until KG was kind enough to share this one today.
The problem with the +nointrocinematic method is that you miss out on the epic ES cinematic, and that made me a sad capy.

You press ESC and that’s it, you already have the normal intro… I always skip it, but I prefer not to skip the normal intro because of that advertising pamphlet, also if I want to play AoE 2 (to which I already put almost 2000 hours) or 4 (to which I put almost 200 hours until January 2023), I’m going to play those and that’s it…
