Great ideas!

I would also suggest the following maps:

1. Silesia - a map that is cut in half by the river (Oder). The left side of the map has numerous silver mines while the right side of the map has numerous coal mines (reference to Lower and Upper Silesia).
2. Dubrovnik - an area surrounded on one side by the blue sea with small islands and on the other side by rocky mountains.
3. Norway - Fjords map
4. Lapland - map with frozen lakes and lush coniferous forest.
5. Provence - map with famous lavender bushes.
6. Burgundy - map with hills and grape bushes.
7. Catalonia - beach map with scattered Cows.
8. Sicily - a triangular beach island.
9. Lazio (or Rome) - a map with a Basilica surrounded by fortifications in the center - the players can take it.
10. Naples - U-shaped map.
11. Bavaria & Austria - mountainous map with many flowery meadows.
12. Brandenburg - a wooded map with a river and two lakes with large islands.
13. Galicia (south-eastern Poland and western Ukraine) - a map with hills and an oil deposit (generate Coins) - a reference to the fact that the world’s first oil wells were built in this area.

I was thinking Italy could afford to be represented by more than one map. I see you thought the same.

Well, multiple European maps are named after single cities (like Budapest and Muscovy, though technically Budapest is a merger of three cities)

Well, multiple European maps are named after single cities (like Budapest and Muscovy, though technically Budapest is a merger of three cities which weren’t unified yet at this time).

There’s also a Galicia in Iberia, which could maybe be represented. We could just call it Galiza instead to differentiate it from the Polish region tho.

**Asia**

At least we all know we need Siam and Iran, the only blanks in the Southeast Asia and West Asia.

Siberia can be divided into at least three parts: west, middle and east, and even the Chukchi Peninsula (or named Bering Sea), Lake Baikal, Altai Mountains, and [Mountains of Heaven](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tian_Shan) (with some parts from current Mongolia).

Regarding the blank of South China:

- [Yangtze River](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yangtze)
- [Sichuan Basin](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sichuan_Basin)
- [Yungui Plateau](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yunnan%E2%80%93Guizhou_Plateau)
- [Southeastern Hills](https://baike.baidu.hk/item/%E6%9D%B1%E5%8D%97%E6%B2%BF%E6%B5%B7%E4%B8%98%E9%99%B5/10798076) (or Southeast Coastal Hills, or Southeastern Coast, or even Pearl River, anyway better than being named just Fujian or Guangdong).

Then, please allow me to share my ideas quoted from other topics.

> - [Hokuriku](https://zh.wikipedia.org/zh-tw/%E5%8C%97%E9%99%B8%E5%9C%B0%E6%96%B9) (a narrow, long cold land facing the vast Sea of Japan, with many ancient buildings that can be represented by Zen temples)

> - Luzon

> The current Honshu is very suitable for Ryukyu, that is, renaming Honshu to Ryukyu and adding water trade routes. On the other hand, the current Hokkaido is suitable for Kanto, so it can also be renamed Kanto.
>
> It can be seen that Japan can have many maps, enough to have the Shinto Grand Shrine as a new small civilization. The Shinto unit could be [Kunoichi](https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%81%8F%E3%83%8E%E4%B8%80), a unit like Priestess + Ninja. On the other hand, there will be no Zen Temple and Shinto Grand Shrine in Sakhalin and Ezochi, while the Ainu settlements can appear in Sakhalin, Ezochi and Ōu (and maybe Kamchatka).

Europe

> The blanks in the Europe may be the following.
>
> - Greenland:
> A V-shaped peninsula map, players are located on the sides of the coast. The water is rich in fish and whales, and the coast is rich in prey, trees and mines, but inland is an open snowfield and ice sheet without any resources, trade points and shelters. You can choose to control the coast through the navy, or attack directly through the snow inland at the shortest distance.
> - [Iceland](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iceland#/media/File:Map_of_Iceland.svg):
> A map of an island the size of Borneo, but in the center or south of the island there is an unclimbable snow mountain like the mountain in Hokkaido.
> - [Sápmi](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S%C3%A1pmi) (or Lapland):
> Similar to Scandinavia, but only has the sea on one side and the sea is larger. There is no royal house.
> - [Svalbard](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Svalbard#):
> Similar to Caribbean, rich in whales, but all three lands are smaller, closer to each other and surrounded by sea. There is a chance to find a small piece of land representing [Franz Josef Land](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franz_Josef_Land#) on the edge of the map. There is no royal house, and there is a water trade route instead of a land trade route.
> - [Novaya Zemlya](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Novaya_Zemlya):
> Similar to Panama, a slender land divides the map into two seas on the left and right, but there are no small islands in the sea, and the land is straight from north to south without bending and may be narrower. There is no royal house, and there is a water trade route instead of a land trade route.
> - Ural Mountains:
> Slightly higher mountains throughing the map, with flat plains on the left and right. There are rich mines in the mountains. East of this map is Asia.
