Some Simple Questions About the Demeter Campaign

First of all, In the “Fall of the Trident” campaign, Arkantos seeks to recover Poseidon’s trident stolen by Kamos. Now we see Hades ordering… Kamos to steal Demeter’s Cornucopia. Wasn’t Kamos a fervent devotee (and “son”) of Poseidon? Why is he calling Hades “master” in this plot?

At the beginning of the campaign, Orpheus claims he saw the city being attacked, but he was positioned behind a mountain alongside Chiron. How was he able to see it?

How did Chiron, upon entering the city, immediately realize that the Cornucopia had been stolen without conducting any prior investigation?

Why, when Chiron and Orpheus are arriving, does Kamos leave saying he has obtained the Cornucopia and completed his objective, only to declare five minutes later that he will not fail in destroying the city? What was the true priority?

Why, upon reaching the Mythic Age, does Chiron state that Persephone’s blessing cannot be used because the Cornucopia hasn’t been recovered, yet as soon as Hades’ troops begin their assault on the city, the power is suddenly unlocked.. even before the artifact is returned to the temple?

My intention is not to belittle the work of the AOM development team, but the questions above about the Demeter campaign have been echoing in my mind.

I keep wondering, are the team truly working with passion and love for the franchise? These mistakes don’t seem acceptable. One or two would be understandable, but all of them together? It feels rushed, as if it were made without care, without spice, without flavor.

I genuinely feel saddened seeing the franchise heading in this direction, especially when the classic campaign is so well developed that it feels like a movie. The pantheon mechanics were introduced organically, without making us feel the “pressure” of a tutorial. Everything flowed in a magical way.

Will AOM return to that path, or has the passion from that era of game development disappeared forever, replaced by teams focused only on financial and general results?
