Sometimes AI won't promote to Imperial Age

Sometimes, when I play with my friends, I experience that PC(AI) won’t promote to Imperial Age and seems broken in the AI. However I’m not sure when it happens by 100%.

Here is the conditions I met last time.

  • Players
    • 2 (Human)
    • 4 Computers (AI HD version)
  • AI Difficulty : Moderate
  • Map : Shoals / Huge Size
  • Resources : Standard
  • Population : Normal
  • Game Speed : Normal
  • Reveal Map : Explored (it happend also when set to Normal)
  • Starting / Ending Age : Standard
  • Victory : Conquest

Additional Info

  • I’m not certain but, it feels like AI players who don’t promote to Imperial Age seems to don’t make farms. When I rush to their town, there is no farms but its villagers are getting wood or any other resources.
  • It’s random, sometimes all 4 AI players play properly, and sometime don’t. It makes it hard to set desired difficulty I want.

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Make a Multiplay Game

  2. Set multiple AI players (AI HD version)

  3. Set difficulty to Moderate and Random Civilizations

  4. Play game and watch how they play

Some AI players stop promoting to Imperial Age. And often don’t make any more farms even it seems to have enough woods.

Hello @Morningman Could you try to save the rec the next time it happens and share it with us? I couldn’t reproduce just with the provided repro steps so there might be something we’re missing. Thanks for the report :slight_smile:
