Steam Overlay problem: Multiple characters appearing in chat

Hi there everyone
I’m experiencing an issue with the Steam overlay (only in AOE4, the bug doesn’t happen in any other game), that makes it so each time I enter a character into chat / any other text input field it enters multiple characters instead. The bug was described on the steam community forums here. The amount of letters is not the same each time, sometimes it enters 1, sometimes it enters 3-4.

same issue here, AOE4 is the only game where the Steam chat is having issue.
