Stop command not working (not being shown in UI) when split-line spamming

with the April Patch (though possibly not related to that, as I never tried this setup before)

description:
When I select 12 archers and spam between split and line-formation, the “stop”-command will disappear from the UI. The stop-command also cannot be issued at that point.

How to replicate:
Select 12 archers. Use Grid-Layout hotkeys. Spam between line- and split-formation.
Observe the stop button appearing.

Speculation:
This might be intended to prevent stack-making? If so, please write this in the manual.
Also write a manual. Or add a wiki-entry for unit mechanics?
If there is no documented “intended functionality”, then it’s never clear what ought to be reported as a bug.

Lemme know, if you can replicate.
If not, I’ll figure out more details/conditions.

Hello @DGretzschel
It seems the stop command disappeared because they reached the position you marked with right click, so even if they are moving when changing formation, they are on the same spot.

Oh, yeah you’re right.
When you change formation, from when units are standing still, apparently there is never a way to issue the “stop”-command.
But is it really supposed to be like that?
My units are moving. I expect them to stop moving, when I press g.
Why should the cause of the movement matter?
