Stop preferring to target farms by unit's auto search

Order units to target a building and after the target collapses(for example, TC or mill), my units love to attack the surround farms(if no mobile enemy units nearby) in auto search mode, even my trebs do so(not attacking military bds or defensive first). When my units are attacking farms, they even do not switch their target to nearby enemy mobile units(by ordering stop, patrol or attack move). Units in defensive stance and ordered to patrol/atk move, also love to target farms but not the nearby enemies within or the edge of their LOS .

I don’t know why they do not prefer to attack other buildings like what they used to do(defensive→military/or in close range→economic), and put farms as the next main target in the status of auto searching.

Though it is not a bug, the game experience always changes.

current game has ton of bug. if they are within LOS and search radius they should attack and if they don’t thats another bug but by default they should attack closest building if there are no enemies.

the behavior should be kept in while fixing the bug of them not attacking other units within LOS/search radius

Ofc they will attack the closest bds in auto search mode if no mobile units nearby. However, the default setting is they used to prefer attacking defensive bds first, not the farms, even the trebuchet does so(I tested it, the trebuchet still attack the farms though other bds are closer to the treb but not within minimum range.). Mine other mobile units also love fking farms though I had already ordered them to patrol or attack move, or just gave them a stop, and the enemy tcs are already within the Los or search radius.

Besides the new bug, farms should always be low priority. It makes no sense that any unit (siege or not) attacks farms when there is ANYTHING hostile else nearby.

KT vs KT fight under TC farms, will currently make the attackers KT attack mostly farms, while the defender’s will target KTs, which is quite unfair

defender advantage for 20 char

I feel ram and mangonel pathing would be much better if they just wouldn’t attack farms unless player tells them too. Besides, Ram destroying a farm is too unrealistic.
