Stop showing the number of games we did please

Hi,

I have about 800 games and I’m between 1050 and 1300 elo.

When I want to play lobby im kicked because “too pro” but some people with same Elo than me with much less game are accepted.

Why this toxic mentality ?

I also play a lot of rank but I want to relax sometimes )

Lobby games are always toxic because the host can kick you out whenever he want for any reason.

but yeah I think the stats should be private, I know there are many people include myself do care about it.
I also want to see a way to reset the stats each season.

Agree about reset the stats + hide them.

Elo should remind the only indicator.

agree like the logo if you are on steam or xbox/microsoft store

On the flipside, you have 200, 300 elo higher guys going to “noob only” lobbies and ruining the game by picking on guys significantly lower in elo

So no, they should stay. Theres plenty of lobbies where you will be accepted even if a few kick you

Plenty of 200 - 300 elo ? Im even not sure I saw one time in my life a 200 elo AOE2 player.

Quick match? Relax on ranked? Go for the next lobby?

Lobby games simply offer more freedom than other game types. Some people will use that freedom to be toxic, but that’s far from an innate condition. I’ve hosted a lot of games myself, but I don’t think I’ve ever kicked anyone for “too many games” or even having too high an elo. Even had a game against Lyx a while back. Can’t tell you how many people I’ve kicked for having a low elo/not enough games though. If anything, most decent players will consider a higher number of games as a positive sign because that means the rating is more trustworthy, and the player more experienced.

Yep. Playing lobbies takes a little work because players have to vet each other, but once you do, it’s really not that hard to get good matches. When people are constantly raving about how toxic lobbies are, I lean towards thinking they either didn’t do their homework, or perhaps are carrying their own red flags. And let’s be honest, most toxic people would love for lobby hosts to have less information about them.

It’s not hard it is frustring, toxic and unmoral. The solution is to add filters by elo (for level) and server (for ping) and take away the right of kicking players for no reasons.

Then a system to reserve some slots for your friends should be added and that’s it.

The community is asking for more filters and lobby improvement for years…

won’t work, even if stats are private all they need to do is check aoe2 insight and all of your games and stats will show there.

iirc aoe2insight pulls info off of MS/WE so they’d have to remove that too but competitive scene is where they want to flourish so i doubt it’ll ever happen

to OP, your best bet is to make your own lobby and wait for players. if you aren’t willing to wait you’d have to try joining other lobbies and note down whos fun to play with, just how it is

A 6 months optional elo reset should be available to clean up game history profile
