Stuck on Knights of the Mediterranean Event Florence

I’ve been doing the Florence mission for the Knights of the Mediterranean event which states that I have to spend 5000 resources on buildings in a single skirmish. The problem is that nothing I did seemed to add to the score. Constructing buildings, buying resources at the market and putting resources into the lombard. It doesn’t help that the instruction for this mission is so vague that it could apply to anything. Is this a bug or am I missing something?

it should just work by constructing buildings, maybe try restarting the game and redoing the challenge

solo debes jugar normalmente, usa las tecnologías de recursos y militar. Pero para eso debes juntar recursos como si estuvieras en una partida. Te aconsejo 7vs1 en dificultad moderado.
