Subject: Community Feature Proposal: Ancient Indian / Vedic Pantheon DLC for Age of Mythology

Dear World’s Edge & Age of Mythology Development Team,

As a passionate fan of Age of Mythology: Retold, I wanted to share a new pantheon concept that fits the game’s core gameplay while opening up fresh strategic possibilities.

Because ancient mythologies fall into the public domain, creating an Indian / Vedic Pantheon requires no third-party licensing fees, allowing 100% of the revenue to go directly to development and profit.

Key Pantheon Design Highlights

1. Unique Economic System (Passive Auto-Gathering & Work Elephants)

  • Sacred Groves (Passive Food & Favor): Cattle are placed near Sacred Groves to generate a continuous trickle of Food and Favor over time without being slaughtered, providing a distinct economic style similar to Atlantean citizens.

  • Gajraj (Work Elephants): Heavy economic units that clear forests rapidly and drop off massive resource quantities directly at drop points.

2. Iconic Military & Myth Warfare

  • War & Siege Elephants: Armored War Elephants, Mobile Elephant Archers, and Rajah hero units.

  • Celestial Myth Units:

    • Airavata (Multi-tusked storm elephant with knockback attacks)

    • Garuda (Airborne hybrid picking up enemy soldiers)

    • Naga (Poisonous multi-headed serpents)

    • Makara (Amphibious coastal crushers)

3. Public Domain Advantages

  • Zero Licensing Overhead: Unlike copyrighted franchises, historical and ancient Vedic mythology is free to adapt, ensuring maximum return on investment.

  • Rich Strategic Variety: Draws on ancient epics (Mahabharata and Ramayana) to offer distinct mechanics, god powers, and campaigns.

Vedic armies followed the chathurangi system of footman cavalry chariots and elephants.so that needs to be incorporated into the TT.

In the Ramayana ravan had a chathurangi system army and Rama had an army of monkeys/vanara or tribal warrior’s.
