I would love to see Maya instead of Aztecs as they are much older and less R-rated lol.
Also their gods seem cooler and pronouncing them is easier.
Green ones should be with DLC and orange ones with god packs such as Freyr.

I rather see the Aztecs over the Mayas especially considering the former has enough mythical creatures to compete with the other civilizations.

Not so sure about the Mayas though.

@Trimyth1699 oh I think both of them have enough gods and creatures to be include in AOM don’t worry , the mayas are not a small civilisation after all

But they will have to make a choice, they can’t include them both because their resource are limited, probably they already did their choice if they plan to add them in the third expansion

I would agree but considering AoM doesn’t take this very lore friendly and sometimes did put myth units into rosters where would have been enough better fitting ones to choose from, I think it’s not an important argument. If they want to ad Maya instead of Aztec they will come up with some fitting myth units

Most definitely. I don’t doubt at all that the Maya pantheon has plenty of gods and goddesses.
I’m more concerned about its creatures and monsters.

A good general number of myth units in the game per civ hovers around 11-13 different units.

Please list 11-13 Maya exclusive creatures and monsters if you think they have enough creatures, including a worthy titan. I’m always happy to see and learn more new Maya creatures.

@EverybodysFoo1 I’m not sure if you see it this way but I think civilizations should stop taking other creatures from other civilizations that don’t belong to them. That solution should die with the Greeks and the Egyptians.

Greeks will probably have the manticores forever despite them being of Persian origin. But that’s okay. They are in the game already. But I think future civs shouldn’t copy it.
