Suggestion - Campaign "Monatzuma" sequel; "Cuauhtémoc"

Aztec Campaign Sequel

Cuauhtémoc campaign would be a direct sequel to Monatzuma and would focus on the legacy of Cortés and direct instability after his defeat and sacrifice on the great pyramid, the initial introduction scenario would cover cleaning up of any remaining Spanish changing to iron weapons, and Armour and then next map would be the conquest of Mexico; the humbling of the Maya’s and then the alliance with the Inca.

The later half would have you cross the Atlantic and the landing in Iberia with the landing being extremely hard to perform, and would deal with the confusion of the Portuguese being thought to be Spanish and the conquest of Iberia.

Units that would be introduce in this campaign.

  • Flying Eagles would be your equal to scout cavalry being a horse mounted Eagle Warrior, you’d still retrain your eagle warrior just as you come into more possession of horses you would be able to produce theses.

  • Cavalry Slinger would be your direct equal to Conquistador being a mounted Slinger that’s fast and still retains it’s bonus against infantry.

  • Cortez is a golden canon that is an Aztec Bombard Canon being expensive and hard to produce only appearing later, after Aztecs discover how to reverse engineer gunpowder.

  • Jaguarlord is a mounted version of the Jaguar warrior wearing full plate armour, effectively filling in as the Cavalier and would be an upgrade for Xolotl Warrior.

Inherited from Conquest.

  • You would get the Plumed Archer from humbling of the Maya

  • You would get the Kamayuk from the alliance with the Inca.

Don’t forget the Spanish don’t have a campaign of their own either and could really use one. Also the Vikings, Celts, Chinese, Koreans, Japanese, Australians, and Mayans are all lacking proper campaigns.

So before giving one civ a sequel campaign let’s give all civs a campaign.

So like Spanish campaign that’s just the Spanish conquest of Aztecs or rather lost to the Aztecs?

The Moctezuma campaign ends by the end of Cuatehmoc’s reign. In fact, historically, you shouldnt have been able to win the last scenario

What, El Cid doesnt exist?

El Cid Campaign is not exclusively Spanish and missions do not explore Spanish tech tree as much as they could.

It still means that you get to play the Spanish in 4 scenarios as well as Lepanto, which is what civs are getting as of late in terms of number of scenarios

Admittedly I think the idea of switching civilizations was poorly executeed, specially in the fourth scenario in which you command Alfonso’s fortress

I think we’re getting a bit off track from an Aztec Campaign sequel.

I already told you that Cuauhtemoc doesnt have any more story to tell

Sorry, I didn’t understand which civilization you refer to as “Australians”.
