Instead of giving them the french landmarks they should have a landmark building like Abba/Ayubid. From said landmark JD and her heroes should respawn and have a timed age up where you are calling french heroes to your Aid, Guy Josselyne for example is a royal knight hero that provides a tech for Royal knights and comes with a little combat ability. La Hire Is a Man at Arms hero who comes with his own tech for them and a combat ability as well. then you have Lord de Graville an Arbalétrier Hero who supports JD with his tech and combat abilities. With Jean Bureau you got an expert for cannons in your team. Of course having these heroes come at the cost of not having access to the normal french Landmarks and their benefits but would really emphasize JD’s hero focused playstyle.
