Suggestion to fixing the Militia line

  1. Give Champion Monaspa-like bonus, +1atk for every 15 champ, maximum +4.
  2. Give Militia line a unique tactical role of being a trash killer, +8atk to spear, +16atk to scout, +4atk to skim, number subject to change, but the idea is here.

I will further explain my thoughts later.

Great idea 32-minute old poster!!! So original. Hmmm is there someone who posted about militia and has been banned recently. Nah just my imagination.

And if Im wrong than ignore this whole post. But I got a feeling…

Lots of things could be done honestly

I think militia line all should have +5 or +10 HP baseline at each variation (50/55HP MAA, 70 LS, 80 champs…) then change something else accordingly like armenians get +25 HP instead of +30

Good idea to make Champions completely broken in Imperial…

Its not like if any Champion civ is rn comparable in performance to Pole Knight spam.

So it may actually be okay to just buff them and see how it goes without changing bonuses

Yeah i agree but i also like smaller changes to adjust better.

I think the magnitude of civs bonuses for infantry tells a lot on how weak the base unit is. Like we have 35% discount on infantry, +33% faster attack, +3 PA or +3 Attack, auto-tech, free techs, One Age early techs, bonus HP, +15% bonus Speed… Imagine these bonuses on cavalry, that would be bonkers! But somehow even with these Huge bonuses militia still sucks.

Because the base unit has nothing to offer basically at any stages of the game over other options

This why i would like to buff the base unit like a lot, and then tone down civ specific bonuses accordingly
