Wet Woods On Ranked
I’d like to respectfully request that the Wetwoods map from HD be ported over to DE, especially for both the base game and, more importantly, ranked play. Back in the day, I would often play ranked exclusively on Wetwoods due to its intricate design. The map felt like a combination of Black Forest, Amazon Tunnel, and a water-based map all rolled into one. The dense forests and narrow paths gave it that Black Forest feel, where every movement was a gamble and strategic chokepoints were key. The winding, maze-like tunnels between terrain sections reminded me of Amazon Tunnel, making it easy to get trapped or flanked if you weren’t careful. On top of that, the abundance of water elements brought in a whole new dynamic, with the potential for naval battles and even full water domination. It was a hybrid map that kept you guessing, whether your opponent would fight for land control, try to dominate the water, or shift between both. The map’s design made for dynamic and unpredictable gameplay, with flanking opportunities via additional boars and scouts, and the constant threat of early Dark Age rushes if walls weren’t up in time. Overall, it was a perfect blend of forest, water, and open battlefield that led to some of the most exciting matches.
