I never said it was perfect, but they definitely got far more support than a few bugfix patches and then radio silence.

Aoe 2 HD and Mythology both got actual new content, a lot of bug fixes and expanded features.
AOE DE has been basically left unfinished.

Fix Age of Empires Definitive Edition

Many problems are still not fixed on Age of Empires Definitive Edition, many features promised during beta are missing, even previously present features removed from beta ‘for the moment’ which aren’t brought back into the release version. Even features present in the 1997 AoE are missing in AoE DE. Microsoft decided to abandon the game and is harming the franchise and the community. You announced AoE DE 2 and 3, AoE 4, but if you think you’ll be able to sell it without having finished AoE DE 1, you’ll just see the negative impact and reception it will get. Please reconsider your decision and finish AoE DE correctly before going on other projects. Maybe if Microsoft gets more feedback like this, they’ll do something… I put it on AoE DE section, maybe I should in the general one, maybe they just ignore posts in this game section…

Getting a lot of patches and an expansion adding entirely new content, that’s FAR from radio silence…Perhaps now you get radio silence because the team moved on or something but you can’t even compare what happened with AoM and AoE:DE
