Its almost too late to save it. Right now if you queue up with 8 friends at the same time in 4v4, you have about a 50% chance of going against your friends. Its easy enough to win trade that i’d hardly call it ranked.

1v1 is in a similar boat on off-hours

There are currently ~50% more players who have played the placement matches in team games, compared to 1v1. And in 1v1 there are ~50k players who have done so. So you disliking something about MP =/= MP dying.
