When I started playing the Teutons three years ago they were a good civilization, now they are unplayable.
They are not fun to play, they suck on open maps they suck on closed maps, no good unites, eco bounes is no longer good, they can’t boom because nothing to boom into because no late game.
The devs have ruined this civ, all the amour ignoring attacks and and super strong hand cannons or ranged unites, as well as buffs to all the other infantry cives, have made them a total joke, why would any one play Teutons over Roman’s.
There paladin, are no longer good, there infantry is sub par, there siege is not practical, no navy, no post gold game, bad or weak bounes, like 100/ heal range.
They are a civ that specializes in being sub par at basically ever thing other then beating weak arena cives, that shouldn’t be playing on arena in the first place.
At this point every cive in the game has horse archers or fu archers, which Teuton can’t deal with even on closed maps it’s vary difficult, and now even the franks have great horse archers which means the only real sold Match up the Teutons had is now gone.
Maybe they can still stand a chance on arena, but franks don’t play on arena, so what is even the point of the Teutons now, they have almost no good match ups any more, and the cives they can beat are also weak melee focused cives like the Teutons are, like slaves for example, but this is not a relevant strength, an many cives can do beat those cives much easier then the Teutonscan, as well they only beat those cives on closed maps when those cives don’t play on closed maps.
This is suppose to be a rant, I’m done, the devs have ruined them, give them mounted crossbowman, give them the armor bounes, which I said would be a good ideal, but leave out the new tech they need, so they are absolutes useless, just like everything else the Teutons have.
The Tuetons have not gotten any thing remotely good in years, mean while all the other cives get all this amazing stuff, and the Teutons a giant middle finger.
Please rework them or remove them from the game aready!
