The combat feels floaty and lacks weight

The incoming Blood & Bones Pack just reminds me that I always feel the attacks in this game lack a sense of impact. When units attack, it feels like they are hitting air, making the game feel unsatisfying and less attractive comparing to the other RTS games.

I think some games do this very well, for example, StarCraft, Company of Heroes, or fighting games like Street Fighter. It is not necessary to add blood and gore to achieve this. I am not an expert on this, but I think adding some shock visual/sound effects, or add a small delay when an attack hit an object might help! :thinking:
