Just read through the hundreds of replies in the many, many different threads about farms in all their varying states. I was curious, and I’d like to record everyone’s opinions on a poll. It’ll just take a few seconds to fill out :). I’m making a new thread not to restart discussion (please keep the discussion and arguing in the existing threads), but to raise visibility and hopefully get a decent feel for how many people are for each different type of farm in AoE:DE.
*Note: I did not include options for infinite farms a la AoE3 & AoM as I don’t think their implementation in AoE:DE is feasible, or realistic. Also, please, don’t spam fradulent votes.
Is this a first past the post poll? As might need a single transferable vote poll or some kind of ranking preference given the number of different options.

I’m sorry, I’d have to remake the poll for that. Unfortunately I didn’t make an account on Strawpoll so I can’t edit it. But I hope this change is put in to the game regardless of what actually ends up being implemented.

Well, the poll isn’t meant to simulate victory for any option - it’s meant just to get a feel for how many people want the different options. There’s IP Duplicate protection turned on. You’ve got one vote, and once it’s cast, it’s done (so pick carefully). For a ranking of the results, there’s this page.
I’d like to see them walkable, though it might be not as cool as i think without the garrison option like in AOK (Because right now to run through farms and kills every villager army must find their way ). So idk, i have no clear preference tbh and i’ll play whatever i get.

Doesn’t mean we can’t get some sort of baseline for what people would like.
