Until now it seems incredible to me that no one has complained about how broken the Dutch economy is, I have already seen it several times and this is what always happens, I usually play with France and Spain, my opponent uses Holland, the game is normal at the beginning , Our score is similar until suddenly and out of nowhere the Dutchman’s score skyrockets, and it’s not just me because I’ve already seen similar games with the same problem, why does this happen? the dutch bank is broken, the developers must reduce the number of banks or increase the cost of the banks, it is not possible that there is a civ with such a broken eco and that it does not have military disadvantages, I mean, my opponent just needs wait at their base and surpass me economically to beat me, this is completely unfair. I strive to have a fair fight but as time goes by the Dutchman only gets stronger and stronger and in the end he ends up beating me without much effort, there cannot be a civ like this, please developers have to do something

Tbf envoys can now build them with a card
They get cheaper too. And if you feelin funny you can get Great coats and Rifle upgrade for villagers to buff Envoys into punchy tanks.
Getting cheaper ain’t new, that’s why I didn’t mention it.
I always rush in a 1v1 against Dutch unless im playing a civ that can out eco them effectively (try and have some units in his base by 5-6mins or faster). I always open with cav against them if i have it for that civ and also get at least 1 healer (if available and more there longer the game gos on) and just micro the shit out of the cav and heal them when they get low and mainly focusing on denying vils to herd food into town center. Most of the time i can keep them from getting the 3rd-4th bank up; after that its just a slow death for them once food is cut off and just running circles with cav/musk. Hell some times i send a forward vil to herd or just out right kill hunts near enemy base. The healers are what make it really work honestly as you HAVE TO jump into his base every 20-30 seconds to put pressure to make sure hes making units and feel unsafe and getting vils to garrison/idle. Do what ever it takes to prevent them from getting into age 3 and not lose units that could of been healed instead.
In short just practice your rush game more so with dutch in mind. Most games that i dont out right kill them with rush it turns into an eternal age 2 game with them haveing sent infinite 2 outpost card like 2-3 times already with a couple more built in base and just slowly slicing away at each out post 1 at a time then retreat and heal and do it again.

Okay so can someone explain to me how it is that in almost all the games I am equal in score in the middle of the game but then the Dutchman’s score skyrockets until I am surpassed by almost 10,000 points? How do you explain this?
Most likely the dutchman research something or sending card tech/upgrades. Researching anything somehow grants bigger score results than actual economy or military strength

I’ve been playing some Dutch lately. One nerf is required:
Coffee Trade:
Adds +2 bank build limit and reduces building hp by 15% (maybe 20, but start with 15).
That change from -20% bank hp to -15% building hp would fix things pretty well imo.
-10% military speed was bad, and made Dutch a lot less fun imo (I like fast units, so I really disliked Dutch’s reliance on a tech to have a decent late game eco), but there still needs to be a relevant punishment.

You can’t necessarily say it’s “worse than the next 15 civs” because it’s overall very close to the next 8 or so.
The graph is also always changing.
It could also mean that Dutch is losing to the top 5 civs. It’s the civs that are ## ### ###### # or so that need attention, nothing above that.
Dutch’s eco is actually slightly overtuned for sure right now.
A civ like Malta or Italy stands zero chance against an equally competent Dutch player.
There is nothing I can point to about Dutch having anything OP except possibly coming from South Africa revolt helping them have a imperial age like eco with special revolt cards and imperial war wagons to train with a card.
Stats with win rates from sites like Free Food Party don’t show any evidence of Dutch being a broken OP civ so Dutch are are not in need of a nerf. I notice in forums that when someone doesn’t like playing against a civ for whatever reason they tend to want the civ nerfed and it is very annoying.
