I already contacted the contact team and what they said does’nt help and even irrelevent.
I play the game thru Xbox Gamepass PC(Win 10). I would play the game, and didn’t touch anything. But like 2~3 days ago, from then when I restarted to play it thru Xbox app, it would load and be stuck there forever.
I already tried restarting the OS, signing out/in the Xbox app, turning off/on the app and clicking the play button. And it would download and install the DLCs and Enhanced Graphics Pack for like 6~8GBs, which I already bought or got for free and installed and used. I expected it would work but it’s the same.
Following the contact team’s advice, I got in to the firewall options. And there were AOE2 DEs apps. Some of them were checked for only public and some the other(private) or the both. I made them chcked for both for all of them, and it’s the same as I expected.
Seems the team is not really aware of this issue, or still doesn’t know what’s the cause. It is really frustraing. In one South Korean community there were others suffering the same. What about here worldwide? I can’t wait for the contact team cuz they would take time to really find out the cause and fix it. Could you guys please help me??? TT
I don’t really want to do this, but say, If I delete the game and download and install it all again, would it work???

I want to share with you a possible solution from one South Korean community. There was one said he/she could solve it by chainging the Windows account to the English named one(meaning alphabets not Korean letters). There was one who said he/she didn’t succeed by doing this tho And myself, I haven’t done it yet but think am going to. The only little thing I am concerned is I would have to make a new account then, and don’t know for sure if Windows configs I set would stay the same.
No I mean Windows User Account name. But It didn’t help me anyway tho. I even tried switching it to Microsoft Account which is my Email address of course in English Alphabets.
There was another one who already tried deleting the game and reinstalling it. He/she is a Steam user but it didn’t work either…
Thru email contact, they said they are aware of this issue and working on it tho. I guess we should all wait for it to the next week? haha TT
Thank you. I think I got it worked out again. I succeeded to get into the game with the new background of the new coming DLC! But I am not sharing with others with this solution yet cuz there are minor problems so far and I haven’t actually played it yet. And plus it would be a work for me to write down all that… Basically It had something to do with the stupid the account directory name in Windows. I think you came up with the same thing and worked it out, it wasn’t that simple thing to do just like renaming it.
God, I just noticed you wrote down the details of you solution. Ha, sorry like I said I happened to see the pretty much same one. I saw a post in South Korean community with the one. But I really thank you for trying helping others in trouble like me.
