Since the Three Kingdoms update, the game became broken much worse than before.
I haven’t experienced this many crashes before, but now I am always anxious whether the game would crash when I play.
First, I had an issue of SMX file that looks related to sprites, but this was fixed after I delete my Steam and reinstalled it.
However, still I sometimes have the same issue. It randomly happens, but still once or twice, the SMX crash happens. Hopefully, it doesn’t make my PC freeze unlike when I was before reinstall my Steam.
Okay. It anyway lets me play the game without freezing.
However, another crash issue randomly pops up. I’ve posted this on the Report a Bug section. So far, its frequency looks less than the SMX crash. This new bug pops a Bug report screen which I didn’t know before. Even I can’t find it on Google, but the screen seems to be something innated in my PC. This bug makes the game crash.
This is thought not to be related to SMX, because it doesn’t make my PC freeze. This would be something different, maybe an optimization issue.
It’s not only me who experiences new crashes since the last DLC. Many people even can’t run their game in the first place. Some things that the developers have adjusted for the last patch make troubles to previous users. This shouldn’t have been.
In my opinion, the developers need to focus on fixing bugs and, most of all, optimization.
New civilizations? Cool. New sprites for unique designs? Absolutely welcomed. However, before doing such marvelous things, why don’t you set the basic game optimized first?
The game now is like a large building that was additionally built on an old and week small house. The whole building is unstable and about to collapse. The lower small house must be reinforced so that it can sustain under the newly set large building set.
