Only reason Babur could not go back to his beloved Ferghana and Samarkand was because the Uzbeks were in control there, eventually he reconciled his situation and settled in India where he died. The source above is the Baburnama which is Babur’s autobiography of sorts.
I suggest you put your rabid nationalist lens aside and discuss things calmly. The Hindu native civilisations are represented by three civs, while one is the Turco-Persian-Afghan faction which is Islamic.

The Hindus are what made up and still make up Hindustani culture and population. They only happened to have muslim dynasty from Transoxiana rule them.
It is true that the Hindu population % has dropped over the centuries, but India is still 85% Hindu and North India + Pakistan as a whole is still 70%+ Hindu even today
(Pakistan population today is 100% muslim, but in 1900 they were 50% Hindu, 50% Muslim and in 1800 it was 80% Hindu and 20% Muslim, I know because I come from these areas myself)

Can we let go of Babur? His thoughts are really of no consequence here. Much of his negative observations were based on his passage form Uzbekistan to Delhi through the north western part of India (that currently comprises Pakistan).
Anyways, getting back to the topic, agree with Prepaidthyme742. There is really no valid coherent argument as to why it necessarily needs to be a mosque. It is also ironic that the over zealous and lone crusader for the mosque here (pun unintended), who employed terms like absurd and ridiculous for perfectly valid arguments for the Temple that they chose to ignore, is now pretending to ask for calmness.
