If you increase the costs of the house you will make some strategies impracticable, 5w seems nothing but instead it is by adding 5w for each house. The houses cost 80w for a reason, because you pay the inhabitants 100 wood if you have the trickle and 2 up of the wood developed but you will never pay them like normal settlers and their boom requires more villas to timber 300w for 3 settlers at the same time +80w for constant houses and in bad situations you will have to rebuild the military buildings, also leaving out 10/11 India has slow age timing compared to many civilizations now it mass sepoys more slowly and if it plays agra it doesn’t have who knows what big eco I would say India right now is at the right point the only thing I would touch is the howdah but count that to make elephants you will have to invest a lot of resources and at least 2 cards to make them viable and excellent with 4 cards which makes everything very complex to do and it is not always convenient because you won’t be making a large mass
I’ve been having some ideas for balancing Ports and I thought about reducing the Feitoria’s XP trickle by 50% and removing their 5% gather Bonus for Hunts and Berry Bushes (never liked this civ bonus and I think it’s time to get rid of it). I have some other balance ideas, but they might be a bit too drastic.
I understood that the previous Hakkapelit was pretty weak due to it’s tags but, honestly, I liked it because of it’s uniqueness, same with the Oromo. Personally, I would change the tags back to the original and make it’s ranged attack do more damage but have less multipliers (maybe have one large multiplier against Light Infantry) and their melee do less damage but have very good multipliers against Arty, Heavy Cavalry and Villagers. It’s an idea and I’m not sure how balanced it would be, though.
I’m going to repeat what I said in another post, but I don’t think that the issue with the Gatlings is because of this Card. In my opinion, the problem is that Coffee Mill Guns is an Age 3 Card instead of an Age 4 Card. Nobody will complain if the devs make that change. They could also buff Carbine Cavalry to compensate, since US always had an issue with countering Cav.
I haven’t formed an educated enough oppinion on the rest, though.
If devs want hakka to fill in as a dragoon then they have to scale it back to more like a regular dragoon imo but keep its unique attributes. Something like 20 hand attack instead of 30, it’s hand multipliers set vs hand cav and not all cav. Nerf it’s siege to 10 so it’s not a 1 comp unit and increase it’s cost by 5 food and 5 coin. With these nerfs you can add +2 range so it’s not kited so bad against other dragoons. Imo that’s fair, nerf what makes it broken but also buff it so it’s not completely usless like before, hence why it never saw any use.

Holidays and age of mitology
They had something in the works between October and now.
We’ve all been patiently suffering and it’s now January.
Holidays didn’t stop the majority of people like myself from having to work in between the holidays.
Believe me, I empathize with the team - I know very well that more often than not its top leadership - which affects funding and staffing - that bottlenecks things why things go slower than they have to.
So this is more so aimed at that process than the actual devs.
Their job is not essential to the human life. They can take 2 weeks off, without the need to feel bad about it.
They want to enjoy the famely time. Nothing wrong with that ^^
Nobody is asking them to feel bad about anything. We all understand that any update is a privilege. Most of us (though some are ungrateful) appreciate the fact that we even got DE at all.
But I’m not speaking at that level.
I’m simply one of many frustrated players who have been losing to far less skilled players by versing civs that are way out of line and ruining the game and ladder especially, for months on end for what appears to be simple fixes.
China was op long before tea export and it’s still overtuned even after the latest nerfs. A few small nerfs like increasing War Academy cost and limiting the Blockhouse to Castle units only would be enough to put them in their place.
