Personally rather than adding new civs all the time they should make campaigns for the many civs that don’t have them

More campaigns for existing civs would also be a great direction.

AoE2 already has many civilizations with interesting histories, but not all of them have their own campaigns. Adding more historical content for existing civs could give players a reason to revisit them, instead of always expanding the roster.

Yes, campaigns in general…Romans, Byzantines (Bari doesn’t count), Mayans, the civilizations of East Asia, etc. etc…

I am not familiar with this mechanic - it has been many, many years since I played AoE3.. I still have it but I would have to update myself on it and the overall concept in order to give my opinion on it.

You can try the open beta of the Baltic DLC; it’s available until Thursday. This DLC will also bring back Regicide Mode (now available on all maps) and Independence Mode (a deckless mode for hardcore AoE 2 players and AoE 4 players unfamiliar with decks)…

It’s a gaming forum, not Twitter. Most people who ask for non-European civs do so because we think they’ll bring novel designs into the game, not because of any political agendas.
