New Main Menu and User Interface

The new main menu is so bad. It basically adds one more unnecessary click to reach where you want to go, for nothing.

Other things I want to complain about the UI: the civ select menu’s very unreadable all cap font for civ overview (I remember seeing a thread about it, but can’t find it now)

And the history tab (which is more unlikely to change, now that it’s hidden deeper in the menu), so sad

[Suggestion] Make History as readable as in HD

If you compare the History section of DE with that of HD, the reading experience is a degradation. The text is only scrollable in a wide thin rectangular area, displaying only 6 lines with very tight spacing between lines. In HD, the layout at least feels like reading a book: bigger height to width ratio, enough spacing, and a better font. A super fast fix for this, is to make the cover photo for each history article scrollable, so that space is not wasted. [de_history] [hd_history]
