And what we’ve all been wanting: a cheap unit this unit is a Pikeman at melee and crossbow at range (mostly for countering goons), unfortunately it can’t go into cover mode but it fills a gap that ottoman desperately needed.
They had some great changes, remains to be seen how balanced abus guns will be now.
I don’t think the grenadiers are that great from the little I’ve tried them. The new unit that counters all cav is amazing and exactly what was needed so you’re not forced to use abus vs goons and lose.
My favourite is the new hussar though, perfect for raiding. I also want to test the flight archery card.
Is +35% stats in industrial that bad though, requires an age 4 card and have nothing in commerce and just a slightly better musk combat card in age 3? I mean brits can get +30% stats for their musk in fortress and then get royal guard taking that to +40%.
I think they needed something though, jans felt bad late game and abus inefficient. They’re still going to get kited and countered by skirmishers very effectively, I don’t think this will make them like old svea caroleans that could just beat their counters easily.
Man, did yinz see that the Ottomans can send the infinite 9 Nizam card over and over, even when their population is maxed out. I had like 295 population, mainly from the 95 Nizams I had lol.
I think that is a bug, cause after counter infantry rifling they still gain x2 vs all infantry
that makes it kinda nuts cause combined that’s x4 vs heavy infantry and x2 vs all infantry
yeah thats a bug as well, the devs are about to get a lot of reports
considering that abus also got buffed hard and lategame outranges skirms its going to be very deathbally, the higher hp is just a larger mass tat can’t be easily approached
if people think jan-abus was deadly before , its only going to get stronger.
their melee cav are also faster with faster rof (so more snaring) and can get melee resist so they can hold heavy infantry armies down as well
Dont forget the new abus gun which is a net buff on all fronts. All in all, it out dps French and German skirms on even pop and gets 22 range. I can’t ask for much more.
The HC cards is where I personally see the biggest buffs tho:
A whole new card for another +15% hp/attack on ALL infantry.
Team kippikulu also gives +10% melee resist on heavy cav.
Cav archer and azap train time and possible kiting boost card also acemi olgan got the train speed boosted.
More efficient artillery combat card and a buff to light artillery hitpoints.
Description is a bit wierd. I think its about shortening the attack animation to help kiting, but it might just be attack speed, or even just the projectile speed. Eh.
