Mangonels…
Just mangonels…
You may be playing on hard as I did and facing 100 times more troops than you have. Just remember wherever possible…
Mangonels!
P.S. Haven’t played 100 years war yet but have finished the other three campaigns on hard.
Edit: Finished the 100 years war campaign and stick with my statement. If a mission allows you to create mangonels, you literally should just spam them… however many of the missions in the 100 years war will not let you make mangonels.

Yep. There came a point in a few campaigns where I just got tired of the hordes of enemy units, towers, castles and other defensive structures and just started spamming mangonels. Works every time.
What I really mean is … this shouldn’t be the case. Undefended mangonels killing mass cavalry that gets close is so counterintuitive to me as someone who has played other age games.
There is literally no way to lose these missions if you just spam mangonels. And I feel like that’s not what the missions should be about.
I think the missions would be pretty challenging and nice if somehow siege was powerful but fragile in this game. A mass of mangonels should absolutely be obliterated if anything comes close to them. But here, if I mass mangonels, I can simply use some mangonels in the back to defend my mangonels that are in the Frontlines. It’s hilarious!

its the only way in the siege of wallingford tbh
I completely agree with you.
The campaigns are like the average PvP late game where siege is your true friend.
It’s not the only way. I did siege of Wallingford on hard using only 2 mangonels. Got the achievement too.
But that was before I realized how stupid mangonels are. And have been spamming mangonels ever since.
